Day 1 : Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou kasbah

This full Day Trip from Marrakech to Aït Benhaddou starts at 7am when we pick you up at your hotel or Riad  in Marrakech and goes across the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass.

 The imposing landscapes with the backdrop of the elevated mountains and traditional Berber villages will give you the opportunity to discover amazing Atlas Mountains as you see the real life of the Berber families. 

When descending the east side of the chain, the landscape suddenly changes to an arid and desert panorama.

In Ouarzazate you will visit Atlas Studios & CLA Studios where many movies were produced thus being called “The Hollywood of Africa.” 

Atlas Studio & CLA Studios is home to many prestigious movies filmed from Lawrence of Arabia, Tea in Sahara, Black Hawk Down, Moses, Gladiator, Cleopatra, The Mummy 1 & 2, Alexander,  Babel,  Treasure Island, Jewel of the Nile, Gladiator, Ben-Hur and The Passions of Christ and even more.

After we will continue on to Aït Benhaddou to visit the UNESCO World Heritage Centre of Ait Benhaddou, a spectacular fortified village (Ksour). For lunch, you can elect to eat in Aït Benhaddou or in route at a Berber restaurant with a panoramic view.

The trip ends with a drive back to Marrakech to your hotel, arriving at approximately 6pm, at which time this will conclude the day trip form Marrakech to Aït Benhaddou and end of our services.
